We already decided to do it and have filed bankruptcy and gone to court. It’s our car loan; we figured we would still not be able to afford any other decent car if we let this car go so we are keeping it. The payments are about $200 more than we can comfortably afford (Those darn car salesmen and a previously good credit score can get you into trouble). Help! I am a first home buyer. I had my closing date schedule for last Wednesday but the mortgage company realized that some information was missing in some of the papers two days before closing and when they were trying to put everything together they couldn’t have it on time, part of the reason was Hurricane Ike. Okay so i differed my student loan to make payments after i graduated so the interest earned was added to the principal once i took the loan out of deferment which means i have no interest at this point since all was added to my principal. So my payment was less than a $100 to pay off the loan within a 10 year period. So i decided to pay more to pay the loan down quicker. So say instead of paying the amount they asked, i payed double the amount, shouldn’t the extra that i pay go to my principal? Instead they take a little amount out for the principal and put most towards interests. So in 2011 i paid $500 to principal and $1500 to interests on a 16,xxx student loan. So next question i calculated the amount in which interest i could have accumulated and its no where close to $1500 so this means their charging me interest in advance, Is this legal? Now i have continued to pay more and since i am ahead of my loan they said i have no payment due for a few months but i payed anyway and now 100% of my payments are going to interests, should i keep paying or should seek legal help to figure out what is going on?"

I have a friend who is currently going thru a divorce. She is the main person on the loan, with her soon to be ex as a cosigner. The divorce papers have been filed, but the process is still ongoing. I’ve been pre-approved through a credit union a week or two ago. I finally found the car I want and was going to go to the dealer tomorrow to work out a deal. Do I need to go to the credit union first and pick anything up or do you just tell the dealer you’ll finance this through the credit union?

So I just got my first credit card in the fall of 2011. I was doing a good job of ONLY using it for gas and food for 3 or so months until my sisters car broke down. I don’t think it was my fault but I was the one driving it at the time, so I felt obligated to pay for it. That was the first time I had a balance of $400 out of my credit limit of 4,000. Once I allowed myself to pay for that car repair bill, things went down hill. I started purchasing all kinds of gadgets and spending money while going out with friends etc. Sadly I’ve used up about 3,800 of that 4,000 limit and I’m ready to get rid of this debt so I can manage my money better. My first step that I took was by cutting the credit card so I can no longer purchase things with money I don’t have. My next step was to only keep $100 from my paycheck for gas and food, and to throw the rest of my paycheck into a savings account. I currently have about $700 saving in my Bank Of America savings account, and I’m basically just trying to keep all the money saved until I reach 4,000 to pay the card off. So do you all have any other advice for getting these debt paid off? Do you think I’m taking steps in the right direction so far? Thanks for the advice!"

I am an ex employee of ICICI Bank, as an employee benefit ICICI Bank provide loan upto 5 lac at 2% interest rate for which they deduct Rs. 5000/- as EMI from salary with a clause that if you leave before 3 years then you will be charged 20% interest rate. I have taken a load of 5 lac rupees in November 2007 for my sisters marriage which I have planned to pay while working with ICICI Bank but unfortunately after working there for 11 months they did a reference check(Rescission layoff) in which they found out that my previous employment duration was incorrect for which I have already written apology letter but they terminated me on August 2008 and asked me to immediately pay the entire amount remaining 4.64 lac along with 20 % interest charges. Since I was terminated and because of recession I remain unemployed for 1.5 yrs and failed to repay the loan amount. I got mentally & financially crashed, career and family life got ruined. Knowing fully well that I never created an account with them, I returned their call to make a dispute. Capital one policy requires that those interested in banking with them must be 18 years and above. I wasn’t even 18 at the time. That confirmed that I didn’t make any of those purchases. Now, the school I’m attending requires all student to do a criminal background check and my name appeared with someone elses. What’s more intriguing is that the address on the database is not my current address but rather the address that corresponds with the one on the dispute. What can I do to change this? Air stone (bar) not creating bubbles? What could be wrong… video included…?
I just bought a new air stone/bar tonight & I hooked it up to the pump recommended (both are the same brand & reference each other on the boxes). The problem is no bubbles are coming out of it. I hooked it all together with a clam at the end& the clam is producing some bubbles, so I know some air is going thru it. I soaked for over an hour like it said on the instructions & the pump is supposed to be able to operate up to 3 ornaments/air stones…Here is the video I took… I am talking about the blue bar in the back.
